The 15U EYBL team qualified and competed in Nike Nationals in Chicago, Illinois from July 10-12th. The team entered the event as a Top 3 seed after compiling an EYBL record of 8-2. The team performed well in pool play playing against Exodus NYC, Essence, and Boo Williams.

During the Boo Williams contest, the team found themselves in an unusual spot and trailed for most of the game. The game was played with high intensity and was packed with college coaches in attendance; even though both teams had already earned a spot in the Platinum bracket play-offs. Both teams came into the game 2-0 in the pool, so the winner would earn the top seed from the pool. After an intense final two minutes, the young Stars were able to seize control of the game and earn themselves a 4pt win (57-53) against a very good Boo Williams team.

As bracket play started, the young Stars had a quarter-final matchup against Team Takeover. In a much anticipated DMV matchup of the two rival clubs, the young Stars defended flawlessly while relentlessly attacking the TTO defense for scores. In the first half, the game was blow open by a 23-0 run by the Stars. They would go on to win the quarter-final matchup 62-39, in the heated, hard-fought game. They were led by Azzi Fudd with 33pts (71% FG, 7rbs, 2stls, 2asts), Malu Tshitenge had a double-double 10pts (80% FG, 10rbs), and Shay Hagans had 10pts (4rbs, 2asts, 1stl).

In the semi-final game, the Stars faced a tough Indy Lady Gym Rats team in a back and forth game that would come down to the final two possessions. Malu Tshitenge was able to convert a layup on a baseline out of bounds play, and on the ensuing possession, Azzi Fudd was fouled and converted two free throws to seal the 4pt (44-40) victory.

During the championship game, the young Stars worn down a talented Boo Williams squad winning by 20 points. Hagans hit two huge 3pt shots on back to back possessions, in the first half, to jumpstart the team. Hagans finished with 8pts, Fudd finished with 26pts, and Tshitenge finished with 12pts to lead the Fairfax Stars 15U EYBL team to its second 15U Nike National Championship in three years. The team had a great tournament with several players consistently playing well including Fudd, Hagans, Tshitenge, Carly Rivera, Kaniyah Harris, Promise Cunningham, and Sara Park. They would finish the season with a Nike record of 15-2 which is pretty impressive for any team in the EYBL.
