Jeff Curfman (Head Coach)
I have coached both boys and girls AAU youth basketball for the past 19 years. I am entering my tenth season coaching boys (ages 8-17) with the Fairfax Stars. Our preparation and practice sessions continue to evolve and we will build on our innovative. We believe every player should learn all aspects of offensive and defensive fundamentals and understand the game at the level of a coach. Too many players are looking to play for teams where they can be assured success by showing up. We are committed to pushing players to their limit and encouraging them to go beyond to develop themselves into complete players.
We are committed to competing at the highest level of basketball and the only way to do that is to compete in the toughest tournaments in the area. Our goal this year is to prepare for and compete in exposure and showcase events that present our players’ skills at venues where college programs will be on the lookout for top talent.
Basketball has been a passion of mine my entire life and I personally invite you to contact me to get more details about our approach to teaching the game of basketball and talk about some of our successes. Go Stars!!!
