Younger Age Group Begins February 18th
For the 21st consecutive year, the Fairfax Stars are pleased and proud to announce that the 2017 Season Tryout Schedule is now available.
The Fairfax Stars conduct Open Tryouts and extend an invitation to candidates interesting in playing on a team with one of the top AAU / Travel / Showcase basketball programs in America. Whether you are a returning player, an experienced player seeking a different opportunity, a new player to the DMV area, or even new to the AAU / Travel level of competition, you are invited to participate. Some age groups may have multiple teams.

Please remember to check the schedule periodically for any updates that may be necessary due to gym space availability or other unforeseen circumstances.
In order for coaches to have the opportunity for a complete evaluation, we encourage candidates to attend all scheduled tryout sessions or as many as possible.
A tryout registration form is necessary to be completed either in advance or at the time of the first tryout session attended.. An Early Bird registration option is available. A copy of the registration form is available here:

The Fairfax Stars are a community-based, non-profit organization and the talented, knowledgeable, and experienced coaches volunteer their time to teach players the game of basketball with a specific focus on improving fundamental skills and knowledge of the game, all in an environment of positive reinforcement.
The success of the program over the years, both on and off the court, has earned the Fairfax Stars an opportunity to be one of only 32 Nike-affiliate programs across the entire country.
Our Scholarship Program, our commitment to Breast Cancer Awareness, our commitment to recognizing players, coaches, and volunteers for their selfless contributions and accomplishments through our Fairfax Stars Hall of Fame, and our commitment to year round efforts to training, clinics, and many activities to help student – athletes work toward achieving their goals and objectives, has been recognized across the nation resulting in the Fairfax Stars being recognized as one of the top AAU / Travel / Showcase programs in the United States.
