Coach Woods has over 15 years’ experience coaching and developing athletes. Coach Woods is looking forward to organizing a team comprised of top athletes who are willing, play with pride, play smart, play together, and play hard.
Most recently, Coach Woods was hired by i9 Sports as a Basketball Coordinator over skills and development.
He was a high school coach for 8 years at W.T. Woodson High School. In 2017-2018, as a varsity assistant coach at W.T. Woodson, his team finished 26-6, and was Virginia’s 6A State Basketball Champions.
Coach Wood’s philosophy is to teach young student athletes a culture of teamwork, defense, and unselfish play, using the formula of hard work and the implementation of the advanced understanding of the game of basketball. His aim is to prepare each and every student-athlete to be productive at the next level of their endeavor.
